Getting started with the Landmark Editor

Learn how to place, edit, clone and nudge landmarks to create stable face features. This guide covers recommended order of operations and practical tips for reliable tracking.

Quick workflow

  1. Generate your model and open the Landmark Editor.
  2. Drag feature parts onto the face view to create landmarks.
  3. Use the properties panel to fine-tune X/Y/Z, scale and rotation.
  4. Save regularly and use the preview stream to validate tracking.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Ctrl + S - Save
  • Delete - Delete selected landmark
  • Esc - Deselect
  • Arrow keys - Nudge (small step)
  • Shift + Arrow- Nudge (larger step)
  • PgUp / PgDn - Select previous / next landmark
  • Ins - Clone selected landmark

Pro tips

  • Place symmetrical landmarks and then nudge for asymmetry when needed.
  • Use cloning to create consistent offsets across multiple features.
  • Keep a small set of core landmarks for lower-performance targets.
