Maventura Limited complies with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently; collected for specified and legitimate purposes; limited to what is necessary; kept accurate and up to date; retained only as long as required; and protected using appropriate technical and organisational security measures.
2. Personal Data We Collect
When you create an account or use FaceFilter AI, we may collect personal data including your email address, IP address, browser information, usage data, and related technical information required to operate the service.
3. Image Uploads
When you upload images to FaceFilter AI, those images may contain personal data, including photographs of identifiable individuals if you choose to upload these. Uploaded images are processed solely for the purpose of generating avatars and related visual outputs requested by you. We do not use uploaded images for identity verification, facial recognition, or biometric identification. Image uploads must comply with Section 5 'User Conduct & Prohibited Content' of the Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for ensuring that any images you upload do not violate the rights of others, including privacy or copyright rights.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, including providing avatar generation and related services. Where consent is required by law (such as for optional cookies), it will be requested separately and may be withdrawn at any time.
FaceFilter AI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. Users must be at least 18 years old. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data through the service, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
5. Automated Processing and AI
FaceFilter AI uses automated systems, including machine learning models, to transform uploaded images into avatars. These processes do not involve automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users. Generated avatars may not accurately reflect reality and may contain artefacts or errors. Maventura Limited does not accept liability for these outputs.
6. Storage, CDN, and Access
Uploaded images and generated content are stored using secure third-party cloud infrastructure and content delivery networks (CDNs). Some generated assets may be accessible via public URLs containing unique identifiers. Images and generated content are accessible via unlisted public URLs. Anyone with the link can access the content. Users should not share these URLs if they wish to keep their content private. We are not responsible for exposure caused by shared links.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms, in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
FaceFilter AI uses Cloudflare as a content delivery network (CDN) to securely store and deliver uploaded images and generated content. Cloudflare acts as a data processor and processes personal data only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection obligations.
We use third-party AI models for text, image and model generation. Text and uploaded images are processed by these models solely for the purpose of providing the service. Third-party AI models process uploaded images solely for generating avatars and do not retain the images beyond what is necessary for processing
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Personal data, uploaded images, and generated content are retained only for as long as your account remains active or until you delete them. You may delete your content or close your account at any time on the Profile page, which will remove associated data from our systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, unless retention is required by law.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, content delivery, and image processing. These providers process personal data only on our instructions and are subject to appropriate data protection obligations.
9. Analytics and Cookies
Analytics data such as IP address, browser type, referring pages, and usage patterns may be collected to operate and improve the service.FaceFilter AI uses cookies to enable core functionality and improve user experience. Where required, cookie consent is collected separately.
FaceFilter AI uses Vercel Analytics and Insights to collect limited technical and usage information such as page views, IP addresses, browser type, referring pages, and performance metrics. This data is used solely to operate, monitor, and improve the service. Vercel processes this information on our behalf in accordance with applicable data protection laws. 10. Your Data Protection Rights
If you are a resident of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights including the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, object to processing, and request data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
11. Data Controller
Maventura Limited is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through FaceFilter AI, in accordance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
